Carpenter, Mason, Mechanical Helper, Scaffolder, Steel Fitter, Steel Structure Fitter, Steel Fixer, Plumber and Carpenter Foreman

Saudi Arabia’s construction and industrial sectors require a diverse workforce to support building activities, mechanical assistance, structural installation, scaffolding, plumbing, and site supervision. Skilled tradespeople and experienced construction workers play an important role in completing project activities, maintaining work quality, and supporting daily site operations. Eastern Diamond Construction Co. Ltd. (EDC) has announced an urgent manpower requirement dated 30 October 2026 for nine different job categories.

The recruitment covers multiple projects associated with EDC and several other listed project entities, including EGC, FNS, Sawiq, HCC, HMC, AAC, Kayan, and MME. The advertised work location is Jeddah and Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. The company is seeking carpenters, masons, mechanical helpers, scaffolders, steel fitters, steel structure fitters, steel fixers, plumbers, and carpenter foremen. The vacancies offer different hourly rates depending on the trade and position.

Key Responsibilities

The selected workers will perform duties according to their respective trades and project assignments. Carpenters will handle construction-related woodwork, formwork preparation, measurements, and installation activities. Masons will support blockwork, brickwork, plastering, and other masonry operations. Mechanical Helpers will assist technical personnel with equipment handling, material preparation, and routine mechanical site activities.

Scaffolders will participate in assembling, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding structures according to approved site procedures. Steel Fitters and Steel Structure Fitters will assist with metal component installation, alignment, fitting, and structural assembly. Steel Fixers will prepare and position reinforcement bars according to construction requirements. Plumbers will handle pipe installation, connections, and maintenance-related work. Carpenter Foremen will coordinate carpentry teams, distribute work, monitor progress, and maintain proper execution of assigned activities.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Applicants should have relevant practical experience in their selected construction trade. Carpenters and Masons should understand basic construction techniques, measurements, and material handling. Mechanical Helpers should be familiar with general mechanical tools and safe working practices. Scaffolding candidates should understand scaffolding components, erection procedures, and work-at-height safety requirements.

Steel Fitters, Steel Structure Fitters, and Steel Fixers should have knowledge of metal fitting, structural installation, and reinforcement work. Plumbers should possess practical knowledge of pipe fitting and plumbing systems. Candidates applying for Carpenter Foreman positions should have previous experience coordinating construction workers and supervising carpentry activities.

An important recruitment condition concerns Iqama validity. The advertisement specifically warns applicants not to report for work with a second-number Iqama, an expired Iqama, or an Iqama whose validity has been extended personally by the applicant. Candidates should ensure their documentation is genuine and valid before proceeding.

Project and Industry Information

The advertised projects are located in the Jeddah and Rabigh industrial and construction areas. These environments require coordination between different trades, including civil construction, mechanical support, structural steel installation, and finishing-related activities. Workers may need to follow project-specific safety instructions, coordinate with supervisors, and use appropriate tools and equipment. The recruitment notice also specifies free FAT and requires Chamber and Qiwa contract arrangements.
