Saudi Arabia’s industrial and oil & gas projects require trained safety personnel who can remain alert around hot work, maintenance activities, and other operations where fire hazards may be present. Falcom United General Contracting Est. is currently recruiting Fire Watchers for projects in Dhahran and Marjan. The vacancy requires a minimum of 3 years of experience and a Vendor Code, with a rate of SAR 16 per hour and a contract duration of 6 months. Interested candidates should be ready to submit their CV and documents through WhatsApp.
The Importance of Fire Watch Personnel
A Fire Watcher plays a vital role in maintaining safe working conditions during activities that may create sparks, flames, heat, or other potential ignition sources. Industrial construction sites can involve welding, cutting, grinding, and maintenance operations, making dedicated fire-watch personnel an important part of the site’s safety system.
The position requires continuous attention rather than simply observing the work area. A capable Fire Watcher must recognize potential fire hazards, understand emergency procedures, and respond quickly when unsafe conditions develop.
Duties and Responsibilities on Site
The selected Fire Watchers will monitor designated work areas during hot-work and other activities where fire risks may exist. They will remain alert for sparks, smoke, combustible materials, overheating, or other conditions that could lead to an incident.
Their responsibilities may include checking the surrounding area before work begins, keeping suitable fire-control equipment readily available, maintaining observation throughout the assigned activity, and immediately informing the responsible supervisor if an unsafe condition is identified. Fire Watchers may also continue monitoring the area after hot work has stopped when required by project procedures.
Good communication with welders, supervisors, safety personnel, and other site workers will be important. Candidates must follow project HSE instructions and remain attentive throughout their assigned duty.
Experience, Documents and Candidate Eligibility
Applicants must have at least 3 years of experience as a Fire Watcher according to the recruitment notice. A Vendor Code is mandatory, making this opportunity particularly suitable for candidates who already have the required project documentation.
The listed documents include Vendor Code, Iqama, Muqeem, Passport, Visa, Medical, and CR/Chamber. Candidates should ensure their documents are valid and available before applying. An attached CV should also be submitted with the documents as instructed.
