Saudi Arabia’s industrial and construction projects require dependable safety personnel who can stay alert during high-risk activities and react quickly when a potential hazard appears. An urgent recruitment opportunity is now available in Jazan for 15 Standby Man / Fire Watch workers. The position offers SAR 14 per hour, a 3–4 month project duration, and FAT provided by the client. English communication is mandatory, while candidates must be ready for same-day mobilization and bring their original passport and complete documents to the office.
A Responsible Position in Site Safety Operations
Standby Man and Fire Watch personnel provide an important layer of protection during industrial work, particularly when activities involve welding, cutting, grinding, heat, sparks, or other potential fire hazards. Their primary purpose is to remain attentive to the assigned work area and ensure that developing risks are identified and reported without delay.
This is a position where concentration and responsibility matter. Workers must remain in their designated area, understand site instructions, communicate with the work team, and respond appropriately when an unsafe condition is noticed. Good English communication can be particularly useful for understanding safety instructions and communicating with supervisors.
What the Selected Workers Will Do
Selected Standby Man / Fire Watch workers will monitor assigned work areas throughout the required operations. They may observe hot-work activities, watch for sparks, smoke, flames, combustible materials, or other hazards, and immediately inform the responsible supervisor when a dangerous condition develops.
Workers may also help maintain a safe and accessible work environment around the activity area. Depending on the project requirements, they can be expected to remain familiar with emergency procedures, follow instructions from HSE personnel, and ensure that their assigned area remains under continuous observation.
Punctuality, alertness, discipline, and the ability to remain focused throughout the shift will be essential. Candidates must also follow applicable PPE, workplace safety, and project procedures.
Candidate Requirements and Documentation
Applicants should be responsible and physically capable of performing safety-support duties in an industrial environment. English is mandatory for this opportunity. The recruitment notice does not specify a particular number of years of experience, so candidates should confirm any experience requirements during the application process.
The required documents include Valid Absher Iqama, Valid Muqeem, CR, Original Passport, Chamber, and Body Fitness. Candidates are specifically instructed to visit the office with all documents and the original passport.
The advertised salary is SAR 14 per hour, with payment scheduled after 45 days of an approved timesheet. FAT is provided by the client, and the stated project duration is 3–4 months.
